I grew up in the East Bay, California, and received my B.A. in Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts from San Francisco State University, where I received a hands-on and multifaceted education in digital media and I am now finishing up my M.F.A. in the same department. I am a teacher and multimedia producer specializing in high quality audio production, video production, and radio and podcasting. My passion for radical pedagogy is inspired by the works of Paulo Freire and reflected in my classroom culture and dynamics.
I am passionate about social justice issues and innovating new content needed to push humanity forward. More specifically, I am interested in researching the intersection of media and politics, and how academia can be used in political and activist spaces to fight for social change. Throughout my career, I have had the pleasure of working in professional sports as well as the freelance world, but I am excited to be transitioning my career into the academic arena.
